Our Story
Founded by passionate naturalists and outdoor enthusiasts a wildlife biologist, an adventure guide, and a conservation photographer Dream Nature Tours was born from a simple vision to share Sri Lanka's incredible biodiversity with the world while protecting it for future generations. Following an inspiring expedition in the Knuckles Mountain Range, our founders established a company committed to responsible travel practices, meticulously researching routes and developing low impact protocols that showcase spectacular landscapes while educating visitors about their ecological significance. Through various challenges, we've remained steadfast to our core mission connecting people with Sri Lanka's natural heritage through meaningful experiences that inspire conservation, support local communities, and invite travelers to become part of our island's ongoing conservation story.

Mrs. Devika Dulanjanee Gunathilaka Thammita Weerasinghalage - Director
Mrs. Dulanjanee brings scientific rigor to Dream Nature Tours' operations with her extensive background in wildlife conservation. Beginning her career at the Department of Wildlife Conservation, she developed a deep understanding of Sri Lanka's biodiversity hotspots and conservation challenges. As a director, she has implemented comprehensive environmental impact assessments for all tour routes, established our wildlife monitoring protocols, and forged critical partnerships with conservation NGOs. Her passionate commitment ensures that sustainability remains at the core of every company decision, from the selection of camping equipment to our carbon offset initiatives that have substantially reduced our operational footprint.
Mr. Sajith Jayakodi Kaluthotage - Director
Mr. Jayakodi's background in adventure tourism and business management has been instrumental in transforming Dream Nature Tours from concept to reality. After gaining experience with tour operators across Southeast Asia, he determined to create a homegrown brand that could compete on the global stage while maintaining authentic local connections. His innovative approach to operations including our custom designed mobile camping solutions and emergency response systems has set new industry standards for safety and comfort in wilderness experiences. Under his guidance, Dream Nature Tours has maintained an excellent safety record while expanding to diverse tour packages covering every major ecological zone in Sri Lanka.

Her expertise in sustainable business practices has created Dream Nature Tours' pioneering approach to conservation and community development initiatives. Her financial stewardship has enabled stable growth during challenging economic times while ensuring fair compensation for all team members and local partners. Her leadership has established educational scholarships in rural villages along our tour routes and developed training programs that have created sustainable livelihood opportunities for community members as nature guides, camp chefs, and artisans contributing to our unique guest experiences.
Mr. Sumudu Dilhan Pushpakumara Abewickrama Gunarathna - Director
As a wilderness first responder with a background in outdoor adventure, Mr. Dilhan brings an unparalleled passion for exploration to Dream Nature Tours. His intimate knowledge of Sri Lanka's most challenging terrains from the precipitous peaks of Knuckles to the dense undergrowth of Sinharaja has enabled us to create itineraries that showcase rarely visited natural wonders while maintaining appropriate safety margins. Mr. Dilhan contributes to training guides in advanced wilderness navigation and risk management techniques.
